Today marks a significant milestone as we enthusiastically participate in the inaugural FIRST Tech Challenge event in the Republic of Moldova 🇲🇩! This exciting competition brings together young minds passionate about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
The FIRST Tech Challenge is a dynamic robotics competition where teams of students are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge. Each team has ingeniously conceived and constructed a robot, expertly programmed to autonomously and driver-controlled execute a series of complex tasks within intense 2 minutes and 30 seconds rounds. These tasks often involve navigating a playing field, strategically collecting and placing game elements, and demonstrating innovative problem-solving skills.
We, along with our extended team of mentors, educators, and supporters, are absolutely thrilled to be part of this extraordinary event. It's an incredible opportunity to witness firsthand the creativity, ingenuity, and teamwork of these talented students as they showcase their robotic creations and compete with enthusiasm and gracious professionalism. This event not only fosters a love for STEM but also cultivates essential skills in collaboration, critical thinking, and communication, preparing these young innovators to become future leaders in technology and beyond.
The FIRST Tech Challenge European Premier Event featured 96 teams from 25 countries, including four from the Republic of Moldova.
From June 27 to 29, we had the honor of being the first team to represent Moldova at the Maryland Tech Invitational, where we competed alongside some of the top 39 teams from around the world.
